Leveraging sports as vehicle for economic development
I believe sports is an effective vehicle for economic development. By using sports as an instrument for economic development, cities and countries can not only generate income streams but also promote equal opportunities and virtuous habits amongst their citizens.
I believe access to sports is a fundamental human right, similar to education and clean water, that is too often ignored or left largely untapped. The Center of Social Justice in the United Kingdom has published studies that show that sports and physical activities can transform lives and communities through better health, social behaviors and employability while reducing lifetime cost of healthcare. Sports also made a significant contribution in my development as a leader and as a citizen and believe everyone should have the same opportunity.
Using emerging technologies to address climate change while respecting business constraints
Climate change is one of the biggest challenges for our and the next generation that requires global action to manage the impacts and minimize the risks. If we approach it in the traditional way, we will likely complicate this problem. I believe emerging technologies will solve the problems while respecting the business constraints.
